How To Find Out Who Your
Federal Representatives Are

The United States Congress is comprised of a lower House, the U.S. House of Representatives, and an upper house, the U.S. Senate.

The term in office for a member elected to the U.S. House of Representatives is two years.  The term for a member elected to the Senate is six years.

Every two years  there is a general election where every member in the House of Representatives is up for reelection.   Every two years only 1/3 of the members in the Senate are up for reelection so it will take three election cycles to clean out the incumbents in the Senate.

GovTrack.us  provides an easy way to find out who your representatives are. Simply click on the GovTrack.us logo below and select your state from the drop-down menu.   The results will show you who all of your state representatives are.  You can also see what year your Senators are up for reelection.  GovTrack.us also provides a map so you can determine what District you are in so you can pinpoint the person representing you in the House.
